We are preparing for YOU and the agenda is packed!!
The Program Committee has put together a strong regulatory Conference that will meet all your financial aid challenges! We have a good cross section of presenters from across the financial aid spectrum.

We have Dave Bartnicki our friendly fed for five concurrent sessions, an Ask-A-Fed session, and the federal update!! That is seven hours of face time with an expert in federal financial aid processes. He is excited and ready to answer all federal regulatory questions.
Pennie Strong is also going to be working hard for GASFAA with four training sessions to make sure we know how to administer all state programs. We know how important CHECS is to all of us this year. We will have a big room for Pennie’s CHECS - Checkpoints and Corrections session and Pennie and her team will be available for any questions!
Robert Weinerman, from Iron Bridge Resources, will be available to answer all tax questions. Robert is a tax expert who presented at the SASFAA conference and was great in answering all tax questions related to verification and other financial aid processes.
We will also have two NASFAA Credentials and many other sessions to address financial aid issues. You don’t want to miss this Conference!
I greatly appreciate the dedication and commitment all of our presenters have for our GASFAA members. They are challenging us to be our best… so come meet us in Savannah and accept the challenge!

Things to know:
- We are in Savannah, so the dress attire is comfortable Southern Comfort: jeans, khakis, capris, dresses, and flip-flops welcomed!!
- The DeSoto only offers valet parking for $18.00 overnight each day.
- Bring your exemption form for your hotel stay.
- Don't forget to participate in our Food Drive!! Please bring food items to donate to the food pantry. We will also be accepting gift cards for pantries to purchase the most needed items.
- For your convenience, and to help promote participation we will have an App available to bid for items in the Silent Auction!
- Don’t forget to bring money for raffle tickets to support our GASFAA Memorial Scholarship!
